Ramadan is the ninth month of Islamic calendar and is observed by Muslims worldwide as a month of fasting to commemorate the first revelation of the Quran to Muhammad according to Islamic belief. This annual observance is regarded as one of the five pillars of Islam. This holy month gives us lessons about the pain of thirst and hunger to grow fellow feeling towards the hungry peoples.
As North South University Social Services Club always works for humankind, at the month of holy Ramadan it organizes the event named ‘Iftar Distribution and Eid Clothing’ for the unfortunate orphans with a view to share pleasure and happiness every year. This event is about spending a quality time with the underprivileged children and realizing the sanctity of Ramadan. All the members of this club consider themselves fortunate to be a part of this noble event.
